Why 3:16 Home Décor? Three simple reasons- Life. Faith. Family.
LIFE. I was raised with five siblings by a widowed mother. Often hungry and three times homeless. I could only dream of living in the beautiful homes I saw on television or even the modest home my own children grew up in. As a child I loved looking at magazines and department store catalogs dreaming of life surrounded by the beautiful furniture and décor on those pages. Today, I love refreshing the look of my home with simple inexpensive changes, decorating for holidays and redecorating a room when needed (i.e., empty-nester).
FAITH, As a believer and follower of Christ Jesus, the scripture John 3:16 says it all. The most important home I will ever live in is the eternal home that awaits me in heaven because of Christ Jesus. A home far beyond comparison to anything here on earth. Creating heaven here on earth… my home does not even come close but carving out cozy spaces, little nooks to read, sip tea, laugh and cuddle with those you love is life to me.
FAMILY, I love and enjoy getting together with family whenever possible. Now as an adult and having children of my own I look back on our family gatherings with laughter, food, storytelling, and occasionally karaoke. Enter pandemic 2020. Like many other people whether out of boredom or necessity I began doing small upgrades and inexpensive redecorating of my home. One room became two, two became three and well…let’s just say a small project ended up bigger than I had anticipated! Out of this experience 3:16 Home Décor was born.
